Projects
Projects – charity, music and a book
Some projects came about spontaneously, others with a clear plan, but all with the same aim: to connect people and energy into something bigger than just an event.

Charity project DRUM S.O.S. – NO to excuses, YES to ambition & dreams
With the support of local donors we enabled a primary school to acquire a high-quality drum kit for daily lessons and young drummers. The new instrument gave pupils a reliable and inspiring tool to practise on.
The project grew out of the DRUM S.O.S. handbooks and was soon supported by many people from the local community.
Slovenian media covered the charity project extensively. The local newspaper Modre novice reported on how donations enabled the school to obtain a professional drum kit and highlighted the idea behind the DRUM S.O.S. handbooks.
Later, the municipal magazine Kamničanka wrote about the presentation of the handbooks at the London Drum Show, where drummers and educators from abroad showed great interest. Both articles emphasised how the project connects education, creativity and charity.

Adria Animals charity project & concert for local firefighters
After the devastating floods that hit many parts of Slovenia in 2023, we in Adria Animals joined forces with other musicians and local volunteers to organise a charity rock’n’roll evening Za gasilca veselička in the medieval town of Škofja Loka. All proceeds went to volunteer firefighting units whose facilities and homes had been severely damaged.
Local newspaper Loške novice described the event as a “concert of gratitude” to the firefighters. More than twenty musicians performed, while donations were collected for fire brigades and mountain rescue teams.
Loški utrip added a more personal perspective: from cleaning the venue after the floods to the emotional energy of the concert itself. The symbolic painting “Spirit of the Devil’s Footbridge” stood out as a gesture of solidarity.

Support for the volunteer fire brigade Prevalje in Carinthia, Slovenia
Together with Adria Animals, we organised a benefit concert dedicated to PGD Prevalje, heavily involved in rescue operations during the catastrophic floods that hit the region.
In gratitude for the support, the fire brigade awarded us a silver commemorative plaque. A reminder that music can move people to action when it is needed most.
Music project
Adria Animals – rock’n’roll in the service of charity
Adria Animals is a rock band from the Gorenjska region, known for transforming Slovenian folk, traditional and evergreen songs, along with selected classics, into energetic, humorous rock’n’roll. Their music puts stories, lyrics and the Slovenian language at the forefront, from the most famous Slovenian poet Prešeren’s Zdravljica to evergreen folk melodies.
The band was formed in 2018 and has since used the stage as a space for charity work. After the 2023 floods, they organised benefit concerts and rock’n’roll flea-market events to support firefighters and mountain rescuers in Škofja Loka, Prevalje, Medvode and Kranjska Gora. For their efforts, they received the honorary title “Guardians of the Lilies”.
Charity ice axe for the Mountain Rescue Service
At Bar kulture 313,6 in Medvode we organised a fundraiser for the Mountain Rescue Service Kamnik. A symbolic ice axe, manufactured by Titan Kamnik and signed by legendary alpinists Reinhold Messner and Viki Grošelj, became the centrepiece of the event.
The municipal magazine Kamničanka covered the event as an innovative form of fundraising that united a local manufacturer, world-renowned alpinists, musicians and visitors in support of mountain rescuers.
Instead of a classic auction, visitors were encouraged to donate freely and sign the ice axe. It became a collective “thank you” from everyone involved.

Solidarity Without Borders – Sarcasm for Flood Victims
When the flood takes everything, music can give back a piece of hope.
In 2014, severe floods struck Serbia and the wider Balkan region, destroying homes and leaving communities in crisis. The Slovenian band Sarcasm took part in a charity concert in Novi Sad, performing without a fee and helping raise funds for those most affected.
A portion of the donations was directed to families in need, whose homes and livelihoods had been hit hardest. The concert became an act of solidarity and humanitarian support, offering hope during one of the most difficult moments for local residents.
The event was more than just a concert. It was one of those moments that reminds you how music can cross borders, bring people together and say what words often cannot. We returned to Serbia several times with our music — to stages, to familiar faces and to friends who always welcomed us with open arms. Over time, those visits became more than separate performances. They became a lasting connection, still alive long after the stage lights went out.
The Camino stays with you forever – 25 shades of the Camino
The Camino stays with you forever is a personal travelogue about walking, silence, encounters and the small moments that shape a Camino journey across France & Spain.
The book follows a month-long pilgrimage through physical effort, cultural contrasts, emotional insight and moments of human warmth. Not a classic guidebook, but a story about what happens between the steps.
Written in Slovenian, it blends travel writing with personal reflection. An English version could appear in the future — and this page will be the first place to announce it.
